The Esplanade Association is thrilled to host the first-ever Esplanade Community Day on Sunday, August 29 from 9am to 4pm on the Charles River Esplanade. Celebrating 20 years since the founding of the Esplanade Association, this year’s Esplanade Community Day will feature a lineup of events and activities on the Esplanade, kicking off with the Esplanade 5K Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, featuring a music and movement session led by the Boston Music Project, and highlighted by the fourth year of the GroundBeat Music Series curated by BAMS Fest.
Esplanade 5K Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts
We’re thrilled to announce that the Esplanade 5K Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts will return to the Esplanade on Sunday, August 29 at 9am! Join up to a thousand of your fellow Esplanade-lovers and run the most popular running route in Greater Boston, kicking off at the iconic Hatch Memorial Shell.
Esplanade Community Day Music & Movement Session
Join the Esplanade Association and Boston Music Project at the Esplanade Playspace on the Esplanade for a family-friendly music and movement session for children and families of all ages! This session will take place on Sunday, August 29 from 11am to 12pm. Children will sing songs, dance to music, and enjoy storytime led by trained Boston Music Project teaching artists.
GroundBeat Music Concert Featuring BAMS Fest
The Esplanade Association is thrilled to present a special GroundBeat Music Concert Featuring BAMS Fest at the Hatch Shell as part of this year’s Esplanade Community Day on August 29 from 12pm to 4pm. This concert will feature exclusive performances from artists of different music styles and backgrounds from throughout Greater Boston curated by BAMS Fest!
