On the Charles River Esplanade

The Moondance Gala has been a tradition for our supporters and the Esplanade Association for years, but sadly due to the pandemic, last year’s Gala was cancelled. We missed having everyone together in the park and can’t wait to bring our community back for this fall event.

This year we are hosting our celebration En Plein Air. We are excited life seems to be returning to normal but remain respectful to everyone’s comfort level. Our goal is to make everyone welcome and eager to join – and be able to have all guests feel comfortable, safe, and have fun.

We will gather a little earlier in the day and conclude the main event as the sunset graces the lawns, trees, gardens, lagoons, and the beautiful banks of the Charles River. Our time together will feature, a wonderful dinner, inspired cocktails, music, and even lawn games! Set outside as always on the Esplanade, this year’s event will remain elegant but add new twists as we carefully close the door on the pandemic.

Throughout 2021 we will celebrate 20 Years of Community in the Park. The Charles River Esplanade has, for a very long time, been the backyard to many, and the front door to the city for visitors from around the globe. The Esplanade Association is the voice and actor of change in the park, a catalyst to make things happen. The parks benches, lawns, docks, and riverbank were never more inviting for thousands than over the past year. With your support we will continue to enhance this centerpiece of the community. Join us in making a difference!
