DCR Park Rules & Regulations

All visitors are responsible for knowledge of and compliance with park regulations, which are available on the DCR website here.

1. The park opens at dawn and closes at dusk

  • Except for walk-through traffic and permitted events

2. Park rules prohibit

  • Litter
  • Drones
  • Camping
  • Barbecuing
  • Swimming
  • Consumption of Alcohol
  • Commercial activity, except by permit
  • Class 2 and Class 3 personal transportation devices. Click here to read more (page 30). 
  • Feeding wildlife

3. Dogs

  • Must be leashed
  • Owners must clean up after their dog

4. Bicyclists, scooters, and other mobility devices must follow shared path rules

  • The shared-use path is a shared route with pedestrians
  • Cyclists and all visitors on wheels must yield to pedestrians
  • Cyclists and all visitors on wheels must pass on the left only and give audible warning
  • Cyclists and all visitors on wheels are required to use headlights when riding at night
  • Helmets are required for children 16 years old and younger
